|California||The Great Possibilities of California and Cuba||Cuba|
Cuba and California share a common history of initially being explored by the Spanish and their descendants. Havana was once the central crossing point between Peru, Mexico and Spain. Ships laden with gold, silver and jewelry regularly stopped in Havana before journeying onward to Europe. The California gold rush also put California on the World map regarding global commerce.
California is the crossroads of many who travel throughout the United States. Nonstop flight service to China, United Kingdom, Mexico and Europe have placed the ultramodern facilities of LAX and SFO on the World aviation map. The progressive State of California and city governments virtually assure California will be player in the New Millennium. California Cuba envisions the day in the not so distant future when there will be bidirectional nonstop flight service to and from California and Habana, Cuba. There are already non-stop flights from Vancouver, B.C. to Varadero and many non-stop flights from Canadian cities to major cities in Cuba. The possibilities for licensed sales of food and medicine exist today with Cuba for California businesses. When the USA Embargo against Cuba is lifted, there are more opportunities in areas of high technology, travel, biotechnology and land conservation. Travel to Cuba is currently allowed also for humanitarian (Cuba AIDS Project), religious and educational reasons. Contact California Cuba for more information about the Great Possibilities of California and Cuba.
